Bank Aljazira
is the first banking institution in Saudi
Arabia to introduce Takaful Taawuni and
therefore commits itself voluntarily to conduct such business in full compliance
with Islamic Sharia principles, to adhere to ethical and moral values in
its insurance operations and to satisfy the legal regulations and guidelines
issued by the Saudi Monetary Authority (SAMA) as pertains to insurance operators. |

Bank Aljazira
intends to be bound by this Code of Ethics
in all its Takaful Taawuni dealings throughout
Saudi Arabia. Specifically, Bank Aljazira pledges to train the management
and staff of the Takaful Division to perform all activities in a manner
that is consistent with the Code of Ethics. In addition, all sales and marketing
personnel employed by Bank Aljazira as well as the Brokers and Agents appointed
to represent Bank Al Jazira in Takaful business shall agree to the terms
of the Code of Ethics and agree to abide by its provisions in their personal
conduct and in all dealings with Takaful customers. |

Objectives: |

- To set minimum standards of practice for Bank Aljazira and its cooperating
Brokers and Agents to ensure compliance with Islamic principles, practices
and requirements for Takaful Operations
- To establish a healthy business environment and conduct concerning
Takaful business.
- To enhance the standard of government regulation and guidance for
Takaful Taawuni in Saudi Arabia by demonstrating good corporate conduct.
- To create a framework for uplifting the role and importance of ethics
and moral values in conduct of commercial insurance business dealings
with Bank Aljazira and, eventually, throughout the Takaful industry
in Saudi Arabia.

Bank Al Jazira pledges that its management, staff,
sales and marketing personnel shall at all times conduct themselves and
their business activities pertaining to Takaful Taawuni in accordance with
this Code of Ethics whereby Islamic principles are practiced namely, mutual
assistance, mutual cooperation, integrity, accountability, transparency
and good corporate and social responsibility for community building. |
